The Hahnemühle Certificate of Authenticity was created for artists and photographers who wanted to ensure the uniqueness of their works and limited edition prints on Hahnemühle papers.
Each certificate is a paper document made with round format machine.

This document is protected against falsification by the presence of Hahnemühle watermark and fluorescent security fibers.

On each sheet is also included a numbered hologram.

A second hologram with the same number can be glued directly on the back of the work.

This association of a certificate and a hologram ensures that each certificate of authenticity refers to a single work of art.

The certificate is unique, do not lose it, no duplicates will be given. For safety and to be sure that there is only one, I delete the file on which it was published.

Although, please note that your invoice may be used as evidence, but will be “worth” less than the certificate itself (certificate example).

Electronic recording of works can be found on the site: www.myartregistry.com. You will only need to write my first and family names in the small tab at the bottom of page and to click on "Search".

The update will be done progressively with the sales. You will be able to refer to a given print number to check the remaining available quantity.

A FineArt photographic print is an art print related to a high quality printing process, managed by a professional photo lab and the expertise of a master printer with over 25 years of experience.

The different types of paper are described here below. Please take some time to read as the different papers have their own features leading to specific renderings. Passionate of beautiful materials will quickly realize that these are exceptional papers made out of natural fibres with a longevity of around 100 years.

All prints are made with a printer certified Digigraphie ® Epson 7800 with UltraChrome K3 ink pigments with a color calibrated chain that guarantees the quality of a valuable print.

This label guarantees the exceptional quality and time lasting of the works reproduced.

The printings will be made in close collaboration with a professional photography lab.

These are prints of collection guaranteed 100 years according to tests made at the LNE (National Laboratory of Metrology and Testing) for Hahnemühle. This corresponds to the conservation standards of museums. (certificate example).

5 - Museum Etching - 350 g/m² - 100% Cotton - Natural white

The luxurious texture of a traditional etching board and the natural white point make Museum Etching the ideal medium for images with soft tints or fine grey nuances.
Also available in Canon's FineArt assortment.

6 - William Turner - 190 - 310 g/m² - 100% Cotton - white

With its matt watercolour texture this paper is a genuine mould-made paper in both look and feel. William Turner is ideal for reproductions of traditional artworks and also for striking and expressive photo reproductions.

All photos are also available on Dibond® by laminating and bonding on an aluminium plate.

The Dibond® is a material and a support used for exhibitions and photo galleries.
Delicate in appearance, the Dibond® provides the highest standards of requirements and aesthetic for presentation.
Contemplating the picture, you are in direct contact with the texture and material of the paper, there is no more “intermediate” such as glass plate, frame, or so.

Depending on their sizes they can come with two, three or more wall hooks. They are rail shaped aluminium spacers allowing to fix and to move the picture on the wall.

The result: a shadow is generated with a sense of depth between the wall and the picture, providing greater relief of the most beautiful effect.
Fixing will be fast and easy.

Technical explanation on Dibond®:® :

The Dibond® is a material solid and light at the same time.
It is made of a polyethylene core (a type of resin as dense and hard as wood), of about 1 mm thick, sandwiched by two thin aluminium plates (more or less 0.3 mm).

This material is rot-proof and stainless.
The paper print is laminated and glued on the substrate to provides rigidity. This way the photo can be fixed on the wall as it is.

The Dibond® plate with the glued laminated draw, is around 3mm thick. This could vary depending on the thickness of the paper.

All photos are also available in Diasec®.

The Diasec® is a material and support often used for exhibitions, gallery and art prints. The presentation of a print made in Diasec® produces an enhanced contrast by providing deep and intense colours and an incomparable brilliance.
Through the transparency generated by the Diasec®,the finish is only beauty, aesthetic and elegance.

Also delivered with a wall hook and, in this specific case, a frame glued to the back that also lets you shift the picture from the wall, offering the same features as the Dibond®.

Technical explanation on Diasec®:

Diasec® is an assembly of a Dibond® plate and of its drawing, covered with an acrylic resin as transparent as glass

This is a picture drawn on FineArt Baryta photo paper, laminated and pasted on a plate of Dibond®, then covered with an acrylic glass more commonly known as Plexiglass®.

The total thickness of Diasec® is about 7 mm, plus or minus 3mm for the photo laminated and glued on Dibond®, 4mm for acrylic glass, a real barrier to external aggressions. The drawing is protected, ensuring maximum protection against dust, UV and oxygen.

Several technics and methods for shaping the Diasec® differ by melting the acrylic resin, on thermoformed plate, etc.

Finally, do not confuse the Diasec®, with a print on Plexiglass®, which is directly printed with UV inks

After the request by mail or phone to purchase a print, it will be shipped to the address you have indicated.

The photographs will be drawn from the order and will be shipped asap upon receipt of your payment. Expect between two or three weeks depending on the country the type of shipping service.

For shipment to France, the charges will be calculated based on the size and weight of the package it will be more or less € 20.00. For destinations abroad, the charges will be applied at the rates in force.

For a single draw a rigid tube of cardboard will be used, thus assuring a good protection.

For a draw “glued” on Diasec® or Dibond®, a special packaging of strong cardboard will be used to assure a good protection.

However, I will not be held responsible whatsoever if the items were damaged.

Where applicable the related account number will be communicated.

You will receive with your drawing a note of copyright and of assignment of rights, and a certificate guaranteeing its authenticity and exclusivity.

Author Photographer subjects to the rules of the artists authors in the AGESSA organism with incomes under non-commercial profits, the billing will take into account the contributions due (AGESSA, 1a rue de Bruxelles 75009 PARIS)

According to the law, notes of assignment of copyright shall be payable at the expiry date or at the latest at the publication. Late penalties will be claimed after sending a formal notice.The amount is three times the legal interest rate in effect with a minimum of 120euros for administrative costs.

In accordance with section 293B of the General Tax Code, I hereby inform you that I am free of VAT, so not liable for this tax.

In addition to the pleasure of owning works of art that are primarily personal items that are designed to captivate us, fascinate us, on values and subjective basis, the acquisition of works of art in French law benefits of an attractive taxation.

Full participant, photographs are considered works of art if they are drawn by the artist, signed, numbered and limited to thirty copies, all sizes and mounts included.

Businesses, professionals who purchase a work of living artists benefit from advantageous tax exemption, according to and in accordance with Article 238 bis AB of the Tax Code.

The same goes for individuals, pursuant to section 200 of the Tax Code.

Professionals and businesses:

Businesses and professionals who acquire an original work of a living artist can deduct from annual taxable income 20% of the value of the work for 5 years.
This deduction is limited to 0.5% of revenues, fees for professional and up to 0.5% in cumulative donations and acquisitions of works of art.

This tax benefit is however conditioned by the following:

• Entries must be made by living artists,
• They must be registered with an account of fixed assets,
• The deduction made in respect of each financial year shall not exceed 0.5% of sales of the year
• The requirement to display the work for 5 years in a place accessible to the public, access can be restricted to employees of the business visitors to the exclusion of home offices.

Individuals:

Tax exemption on the Fortune (ISF) under section 8551 of the Tax Code.
A tax benefit to build wealth:

The antiques, art or collectibles are not included in the taxable amount for the calculation of the “fortune tax”.

Works of art, whatever their nature, are not subject to the “fortune” tax (ISF).
They are therefore not included in the declaration of the ISF and the amounts spent on the acquisition are not taxable.

This tax provision, applicable to both paintings, drawings, gouaches, watercolors and sculptures as bronzes, makes it a perfect tool for removing ceilings of the ISF.

Advantageous taxation of capital gains:

Buying a work of art is exempt from capital gains from 12 years after its acquisition.

Knowing that a 10% reduction is granted annually after two years of detention, the gain tax of 27% disappears by itself after 12 years.
Of course, this is possible if one can attest the date of purchase by the provision of an invoice.

Transmission of assets:

Under certain conditions, works of art may, in succession, be included in the package of 5% of movables.
If no public sale is made within two years after the death, the work will be taxed on a value much lower.

Payment in kind:

This is something that is potentially less correlated to my site, however, it's good to be informed.
Payment in kind allows to pay all or a portion of certain taxes, inheritance, gift, wealth, by leaving a work of art to the state.
However, the work must be of a great artistic or historic value.
If the state consents to the payment in kind, your tax debt is automatically switched off up to the value of art which incorporates the national collections.
